Westside Water Resources endeavors to preserve the amazing benefits of clean abundant water for generations to come. There are ways for us to work together to ensure our natural right to clean water and well-being.
Our Mission:
Maintain water quality and abundance for the natural environment and for human consumption and enjoyment
Decrease artificial diversions and restore the natural movement of water
Augment water resources to increase the resilience of municipal and agricultural systems in the event of drought induced shortages, wildfires, earthquakes, and in anticipation of currently unknown effects of climate change
Educate the public about the discipline of applied conservation
Pilot Project: Far Out West Community Garden
The Far Out West Garden’s Rainwater Harvesting Project shows how ordinary buildings can be part of a sustainable cyclical water system.
Project 1: Westside Basin Aquifer Recharge
By restoring the San Francisco peninsula’s Westside Basin Aquifer, Project One will demonstrate the feasibility and environmental benefits of restoring the groundwater basins through distributed aquifer recharge.
